Our Mission

Starting Early unapologetically seeks a sustainable early childhood workforce system filled with dedicated, highly qualified, and fairly compensated educators. This will ensure that every family has access to consistent, high quality early learning for their children.

Our Purpose

We know babies' brains are rapidly developing as soon as they are born, and early learning helps shape their educational success. Early childhood educators are arguably the most critical workforce, and they deserve our collective commitment and investment. Our children today are our future workforce, and their training begins at birth. 

Advocate:

Starting Early brings together the collective voice and power of providers, educators, and families to shape policy decisions and drive positive change. We are building the awareness of the need to increase compensation, monetary and otherwise, for early childhood educators. 

Educate:

Starting Early seeks to increase the number of individuals entering the early childhood education field and support them by removing the barriers to obtain their credentials and degrees. We believe that introducing young people to the early childhood profession helps create a new generation of arguably our region's most important workforce.

Inspire:

Starting Early is committed to ensuring everyone recognizes how vital a vibrant early childhood education system is for all of us. We aim to provide multiple, quality options for all families with a dedicated high quality early learning workforce.
